My name is Bayley Paharik and I am the Founder and Executive Director of Hope Alive Ministry.
Hope Alive Ministry (HAM) is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was founded on January 9, 2012 . Our goal is to support families facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses from the moment of diagnosis until after their child passes away. A lot of times there is a lot of support right after a child is diagnosed with a life-threatening or chronic illness and sometimes days and months after the child passes away, but it starts to wane as time passes. A lot of families also lose friends during this time. We want to be a constant source of support. As of August 2016, we are currently in the process of becoming a non-profit organization and hosted our first board meeting on December 2, 2017.
Since 2012, we have created several awareness and tribute slideshows in honor of children who have passed away. We have featured families as a “Family of the Month” to raise awareness of their child’s condition. We also sent thousands of homemade cards to Ronald McDonald Houses and Children’s Hospitals in the United States with our volunteers through our card parties. We are planning to send care packages in the future as well as do book drives. We also hope to host more in-person events as well as fundraising initiatives, so that we can support more families.
Myself along with our Board of Directors appreciate all of your support.
