On Saturday, October 6, 2018, our Founder & Executive Director, Bayley Paharik and HAM Board Member, Jen Jones, presented at the Pennsylvania Communication Association annual conference held at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. We invited attendees to make homemade Halloween cards for children and Christmas/winter cards for children, teens and thank you cards for caregivers to be sent to Ronald McDonald Houses and Children’s Hospitals across the U.S. Seton Hill University students made 32 homemade Halloween cards and 25 homemade Christmas/winter cards.
The Halloween cards were sent to Ronald McDonald House of Chicago and Northwest Indiana – location nearby Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois about 39 minutes from Chicago. The cards were mailed on Saturday, October 13, 2018 and arrived to RMHC Chicago on Monday, October 15, 2018.
The Christmas/winter cards will be mailed with cards we will be making at our next card party on Saturday, November 3.
