As part of our goal to constantly expand and reach more families facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses, we have several announcements coming up in the near future. We would love to support more of these families.
One of the upcoming projects we have planned are Hope Boxes. This has been an idea for a few years now and we are excited to be able to launch it soon. Our hope boxes will be sent to families who have a child/children with a life-threatening & chronic illness who are between 0-16 developmentally and those who have a child/children (0-16 developmentally) who passed away from a life-threatening or chronic illnesses. We will nominate families to receive them and also families may sign up to receive them as well. Our sales from our t-shirt sale will be used toward items for the Hope Boxes. They will be filled with a combination of inspirational materials and Hope Alive Ministry items. Our hope is that our Hope Boxes will help inspire these families and offer them additional hope. Further details on this new initiative will be posting soon.
The future of Hope Alive Ministry includes being able to reach more of these families and hosting more online and in-person events. We will be utilizing more volunteers both local (in Pittsburgh, PA area) and ones from across the country and world. Volunteers help us be able to reach more of these families. If you are interested in volunteering, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your interests and time commitment (how much time you think you will be able to dedicate to our cause). We will then get back to you with more information. You may also fill out our “Contact Us” form on this blog with your information. Our volunteers will not be paid, but it is a great opportunity and can be included on Resumes. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Please continue to share our blog with families facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses. We will be releasing an updated version of our Leukodystrophy Awareness Slideshow we made back in February for this September, Leukodystrophy Awareness Month as well as our annual Childhood Cancer Awareness Slideshow in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September. More details on both slideshows will be posted within the next week or so.
Thank you for your continued support! We appreciate you all.
