Making Cards for Sick Kids: A Few Pointers By Janis S.

Are you looking to make cards for sick children? Many people want to but get stuck on what to say, or even what not to say. Here are some tips to help you out.

Address the card with phrases such as:

“Hey There!”

“Hey (insert child’s name)!”

To: A Very Special Person

“Hi, (insert child’s name)”

ect.

What not to write:

Feel better soon

Get well

I am so sorry you are sick.

Or any other illness related messages you might use.

Avoid anything religious as well like.

Write uplifting messages such as:

Stay Strong

Be Brave

You inspire me

You encourage me

Never forget how amazing YOU are

You rock

You are awesome

I hope you have a great day today.

I believe in YOU

ect.

Sign the cards with phrases such as:

Your friend, (Your name)

Your fan, (Your name)

With hugs, (Your name)

Kids also love to know where you are sending the card from, so feel free to put city and state (Or at least state) or country where you are from.

If you have any other phrases of what not to say, or an uplifting message to say, please let us know so we can update the list for others.
