Giving Vs. Receiving

During the holidays, we tend to focus on receiving rather than

giving. It is easy to do, but it is also important to recognize

that Christmas is celebrating Jesus’ birth and is not about

how many or how little presents we receive.

We live in a culture that is tells us that receiving is better

than giving. There is nothing wrong with wanting to receive

presents. However, sometimes we miss out on the value of

giving.

In November, we at Hope Alive Ministry (Team H.A.M.)

donated shoeboxes to Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh.

Project H.O.P.E. Club (Social Work Club at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania) & Hope Alive Ministry prepare 50 shoeboxes for families of Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Friday, November 21, 2014.

This taught us that it truly is better to give

              than to receive.

What are YOU doing this holiday season to

             bless others?

Sometimes the “smallest” things matter the

           most!
