September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month: Fact #1

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Hope Alive Ministry has lots

of exciting events planned. First, we are going to post a fact about childhood cancer

twice a week on this blog and everyday in September on our Facebook page

Day 1 Fact:

Every school day 46 children are diagnosed.

(Fact from The Ronan Thompson Foundation)

What can you do to raise awareness of childhood cancer?

1. Wear gold/yellow (gold is the official color for childhood cancer, but if you

don’t have gold then yellow will do.)

2. Post links with facts about childhood cancer like Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Thumbs up for Lane Goodwin Childhood Cancer Foundation, Ty Louis Campbell Foundation,

St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Cure Search for Children’s Cancer, and so many others.

3. Remember that something is better than doing nothing.

Hopefully, raising awareness for childhood cancer will encourage you to change the

awareness through donating as that can lead to a cure.

Check back on Thursday for Fact #2 and be sure to check our Facebook page and this blog for

more exciting updates.

God Bless!
